BONES IS BACK

This book introduces Bones, a mischievous little skeleton who comes to life every October, making pranks and surprises for your family at night. During the day, however, Bones is all about fun and interaction—children can touch, play with, and engage with him, making every moment special. Unlike traditional holiday characters that focus mostly on observation, Bones is all about participation. Throughout the month of October, Bones' story aims to bring families together, encourage positive behavior, and celebrate joyful moments. With this book, use or buy any skeleton—big, small, scary, or cute—to start this fun family tradition.

AUTHOR

Author
Dr. Marc Fetscherin is a devoted father to his daughters, Margaux and Mireille, and an accomplished author with several books to his name. Drawing from his professional writing expertise, he ventured into children's literature, blending creativity with heartfelt storytelling. His personal experience with divorce inspired his first children's book, We Are Family but Not Married, which helps parents navigate and explain evolving family dynamics to their children with empathy and care. Inspired by his daughters’ love for Halloween and their enthusiasm for family traditions, Marc’s latest book, Bones is Back: A Family Tradition for Halloween, grew from a cherished activity they shared each October.
The story behind Bones
The idea originated from a fun tradition Marc started with his daughters Margaux and Mireille. They have always enjoyed their Elf, and a few years ago one October day, his daughters asked why their skeleton didn’t move at night like the Elf. So, Marc began hiding the skeleton, which quickly became an annual family activity. Sharing this experience with friends, Marc realized many families who don’t celebrate Christmas miss out on similar traditions. Inspired to create an inclusive Halloween tradition, Marc also addressed common concerns about the Elf, such as children not being able to touch it and parents’ stress of forgetting to move it. These experiences led to the creation of Bones and the book.
